This is an awesome DIY project offered up by Better Homes and Gardens.   Its a self contained sandbox so you don’t have to dig a big hole.   It has a lid so that you can keep out leaves and debris, and then when the kids are using it, the lid folds up to reveal 2 seating areas!     When its closed, you can stick an umbrella in the ground to create a luxe lounge deck for the kids.   You can use the wood cut outs as described in the instructions below, or you can strip and sand old pallets and get the wood basically for free!   Then paint and start building!    What an awesome project for the kids –
